Schonfeld (o Schrodinger secondo altra fonte), con diametro di 312 chilometri, presenta pareti terrazzate ed un ulteriore anello interno formato da rilievi collinari con piccoli crateri e solchi. Da Schonfeld (o Schrodinger secondo altra fonte) si sviluppa la Vallis Schrodinger per una lunghezza di 310 chilometri fino al cratere Moulton. Il cratere Planck con diametro di 314 chilometri presenta pareti piuttosto basse e non vi si notano solchi. Il fondo di Planck è cosparso di numerosi crateri di vario diametro. Una considerevole porzione delle pareti del cratere Planck è percorsa dalla Vallis Planck per una lunghezza di 451 chilometri. Il polo sud della Luna è in prossimità del lato sinistro dell'immagine.

English version: Region nearby the lunar south pole. We can see two large structures. Schonfeld (or Schrodinger about other source), is 312 chilometers diameter, show terraced main walls and a further internal ring with hills reliev, little craters and rimae. From Schonfeld (or Schrodinger about other source), is develop Vallis Schrodinger extendeed for 310 chilometers lenght to Moulton crater. The Planck crater with 314 chilometers diameter show low main walls, are not visible rimae. On the flat of Planck there are several craters of various diameter. A large part of main walls around Planck crater is crossed by Vallis Planck extendeed for 451 chilometers lenght. The south lunar pole is to left side in this image.
